Broadening the sociological viewpoint.
Since I graduated (2001), I have applied sociological methods and understanding to various endeavors. I have been responsible for citizen participation in several projects, implementing new methodologies for engagement. Since returning to live in Chile in 2012, after completing a master’s degree in international relations, I have worked in the field of urbanism. I have led artistic and cultural initiatives and have served as an advisor to the Planning Secretariat in the Municipality of Valparaíso, Chile. I am also a writer. In 2018, I published a political chronicle about a citizen movement I participated in, which addressed several demands for improved management and citizen governance in Valparaíso, titled "Citizens or Politicians: The Betrayal of Sharp" (Editorial Etnika). In 2023, I published the autobiographical novel "Sampler: Techno at the Edge of the World," which narrates the forefront of electronic music in Chile in the early nineties during the democratic transition. Today, I collaborate on urban projects (urban planning research and citizen engagement ) and write biographies for entrepreneurs as a ghostwriter.
I can work on social innovation projects in public institutions, private organizations, and non-governmental organizations, particularly in research, designing methodologies, activating, and measuring the impact of community intervention.
